The Destin/Ft. Walton Beach area is surrounded by water, making it an ideal location for Florida's first SUP Cleanup Chapter. Centrally located in the Harbor district of Destin, we plan on cleaning the beaches, bay, bayou's, and the Intracoastal Waterway in the surrounding area, one SUP Cleanup at a time. GUSU Paddlesports, lead by Steve Hill, plans on working with the paddle community, local businesses, and the military, to bring awareness to nature and the environment.

Inspired by Jeoffrey and Catherine Nathan, from Coastal Urge in Wilmington N.C., we plan on doing our part and inspiring others to do theirs while enjoying the beauty surrounding us. The cleanups will last around 2 hours and the paddling could go on forever. We plan on cleaning up multiple locations on the specified dates below.
