Tacoma, WA is surrounded by the Puget Sound on two sides of the Point Defiance peninsula and has a beautiful, leanly developed waterfront buffered by steep slopes and park land. The views of Mt. Rainier are stunning. Between the litter, the former industrial usage and fill, and the marine debris that drifts in, our shorelines need frequent cleaning. Our immediate objective is to meet socially on the water weekly and bring together monthly our SUP paddle power and ability to reach remote areas of Pt. Defiance. We are reaching out to returning Iraq veterans to join us in our play on the water.

Bimonthly we will strive for joint cleanups with Surfrider Foundation's South Sound Chapter.
