All proceeds from our SUP Cleanup merchandise benefit cleanup costs.

There are plenty of ways you can help us standup for a clean ocean!

The manifest activities of SUP Cleanup include identifying impending cleanup sites and scheduling monthly cleanups. Along the way, the organization also aims to recruit new members, inform the public about the trash problem strangling our beaches and oceans and develops new chapters along coasts throughout the states.

Throughout the month, members may notice beaches that need their attention during that month’s cleanup. Members can tell the cleanup coordinators these recognized areas of need so that SUP Cleanup’s events can have as much relevant impact as possible. Chapters will designate a meeting time and place for the cleanup to launch their standup paddle boards. Along the way, paddlers comb the waters for any floating trash in the waterway. Upon reaching the target site, members get their gloves and bags and disperse throughout the site, covering as much area as possible. All trash is collected, no matter the size, and brought back to the landing site, on the water support then comes to haul the trash as the boards usually cannot hold all of the litter found.

As SUP Cleanup grows, the organization is expanding its activities to include event support, especially water-based events such as local standup paddle board races, surf tournaments or fellow organizations’ events and cleanups.
